FDL’s Wheatgrass is a produced from wheat leaves just entering the tillering growth stage. The leaves are harvested and quickly dried to capture the goodness of the plant.

Wheatgrass contains a rich variety chlorophyll, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and enzymes. FDL’s wheatgrass is available to commercial customers worldwide and is mostly harvested in the New Zealand spring and autumn.

It is a green leafy vegetable in an incredibly convenient form.

Wheatgrass is a source of potassium, dietary fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, Vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, iron, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium.

The soils of the Canterbury Plains have a long history of growing cereals for New Zealand. It is natural that production of wheatgrass, as opposed to wheat grain, should develop in the region out of the expertise of Canterbury’s arable farmers.
